After Solas breaks her heart, part of Lavellan needs him back so badly she doesn’t know how to breathe leading to some spectacularly terrible decisions on her part. But as it dawns on her how essential Cassandra is to her sanity and how making her smile feels like true triumph, and how seeing Josephine is what she looks forward to most whenever she returns to Skyhold, Lavellan begins to realise that maybe what she had had with Solas isn’t what is best for her after all, or what will make her most happy.

How to Romance Josephine in “Dragon Age: Inquisition”

The latest fantasy adventure from Bioware features a surprisingly deep and personal relationship system that players may literally fall in love with. W hen I started playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, the latest narrative adventure from Canadian developer Bioware, I thought it was going to be like any other epic fantasy role-playing game — except that at some point, it would allow me to do the no-pants dance with a foot man-bull voiced by Hollywood actor Freddie Prinze Jr.

This is, after all BioWare, a studio renowned for exploring human relationships — or in the case of its Mass Effect sci-fi series, intergalactic pansexual human-alien relationships.

The latest fantasy adventure from Bioware features a surprisingly deep and personal relationship system that players may literally fall in love.

I usually leave a trail of dead party members behind me because I keep missing those five-second side-conversations earlier in the game that somehow butterfly-effect themselves into someone dying. I lost Lydia somewhere in a Skyrim dungeon, and she was murdered by elder tech while I was off looting. But playing Dragon Age: Inquisition , I felt like the game was designed around my awkward clumsiness. Here is the tale of how I ended up with three love interests. It all started with Dorian.

Something about his wit, sarcasm, and stupid tiny mustache drew me to him, and in typical RPG style, I ignored all other characters for every chance I could get to trigger new dialogue with him.

Dragon Age: Inquisition, the third main video game in BioWare’s Dragon Age Lady Josephine Montilyet, nicknamed “Josie” by Leliana, is the Inquisition’s will reveal that she is dating Dagna, whom she affectionately nicknames “Widdle”.

One aspect less advertised – but just as important to seasoned BioWare fans – was the studio’s approach to more personal relationships; particularly of the romantic variety. And with Inquisition , the developers outdid themselves. With characters more complicated than ever before seen , taking a variety of appearances and arcs over the course of the game’s lengthy campaign, some advice will come in handy. The writers have gone out of their way to make the heart of every Follower available to the player – even if their romantic interests lie elsewhere – meaning those characters may not state just what kind of relationships are likely in the long run.

So, allow us to take care of it. It isn’t just Followers that can be romanced in Inquisition , but the Inquisitor’s advisors as well a possible conflict of interest, we’ll admit. The former Templar Cullen Rutherford is one such example, overseeing the military forces and planning of the player’s army – when not being awkwardly drawn into more romantic conversation by either a human or elf female.

Since it’s Cullen’s business to know what the player is up to, a romance is only possible if the player is not engaged in any other romance. It’s clear from the outset that Cullen’s morals aren’t really in question – no matter how heated the conflict between Mages and Templars has become – but it will take plenty of time before he drops his guard.

I cannot wait to see them!!!! By Berserker79 Watch. An upload by a friend here on dA reminded me that it’s been a while since I uploaded anything. While I did not have much time to work on new scenes to render lately, I’ve been doing some practice with Blender Cycles trying to improve and for the purpose of practice I’ve picked as my subjects characters I like from the Dragon Age or Mass Effect series much better to render favorite characters than random objects, isn’t it?

I realized that, with some not so minor effort, I could turn those test renders into a series of pictures showcasing the LIs I’ve chosen throughout the games as the partner in my first and main playthroughs and that’s how this series of pictures began. Posed in XPS

I will start a new game all over again and romance Josephine like I’ve been I unwittingly triggered dorian’s romance quest (as a male mage on nightmare.

January Okay, so Dorian is by far my favorite character in this game. I am overly passionate about my feelings on this character. So, I really want to see how his party banter with Iron Bull if you don’t romance either of them turns out, but I definitely feel like it should have happened like, a long time ago

For Dragon Age: Inquisition on the PlayStation 4, a GameFAQs message board topic titled “Cassandra or Josephine for romance”. Dating your secretary. So my hunch from the time the romances were revealed was right.

Some spoilers within. The complexities of the plot; the branching story lines; the moral dilemmas; the constant juggle of companion priorities; the combat; the explore content. I realised recently that my approach to Mass Effect and Dragon Age romances is very similar to how I go about it in real life: I have some pre-conceived notions of who I might like to do kisses with, and I sort of tailor myself my character, my lifestyle to enable that.

But then I flirt wildly with absolutely everyone, and fall head over heels in love with the first person who takes the bait. I apologise to my long string of exes, but there it is. I identified this pattern in my life some few months ago, which allowed me to hit a new record of not getting into disastrous relationships, but the mirroring of my Dragon Age experience only occurred to me when starting Inquisition recently. With this in mind, I went off and really researched the romance options available this time around.

If love blooms on the battlefield, then so be it — but I refuse to let it bloom with someone completely inappropriate just because they have a cute smile and a can-do attitude. The first companion you recruit, Cassandra is a perfect tank who can also be developed into an excellent damage dealer or controller. She takes a compliment with modesty.

Dragon Age: Inquisition. Okay, I drew this over two weeks ago and then I completely forgot to post it, I’m so sorry. Also I wasn’t even dating Cullen at the time this.

Dragon Age: Inquisition , the third main video game in BioWare ‘s Dragon Age series, is the most successful video game launch in BioWare history based on units sold. The organization’s primary purpose is to restore order to the continent of Thedas, the setting of Inquisition , where civil unrest and civil wars have plunged entire nations and societies across the known world into chaos. A supernatural calamity in the beginning of Inquisition led to the deaths of the Divine and the majority of the Chantry leadership, and the subsequent opening of a mysterious metaphysical tear in the sky called the “Breach”, which is unleashing dangerous demons upon the world of Thedas.

The setting of Inquisition is a world that has been described as a dark fantasy setting, and events primarily occur within the Theodosian nations of Ferelden and Orlais; a significant focus of the narrative is character-driven, and revolves around how its characters deal with the weight of cataclysmic destruction and carry on through hardship.

The leader of the Inquisition is the “Inquisitor”, whose race and gender is chosen by the player. The Inquisitor has a glowing “mark” on their hand which is capable of closing the Breach, and is viewed by some Theodosians as the “chosen one” of their revered prophet Andraste. The conflict between the Inquisition and Corypheus’ forces forms the core narrative of Inquisition. The Inquisitor is accompanied by several “companions”, or party members , who also join the Inquisition to stop the demons that have invaded the world of Thedas.

The advisors assist the Inquisitor by planning operations and handling situations across southern Thedas; in gameplay terms, these generally lead to rewards and often deeper explorations of plot and lore.

Justice Is Hard

There are spies around every corner, templars and mages fighting to the death, and dark, heinous creatures ready to kill you slowly with the Blight that brings you inches closer to madness while you tear off your own skin. Will your favorite partner hold up? You can choose to save face and end the romance there, or proclaim your intent to continue the relationship.

Ever since getting to know Sten in Dragon Age: Origins, I’ve loved the Unfortunately, unless you date Iron Bull himself (and, needless to say, When I saw the Inquisition’s ambassador and chief diplomat Josephine, I fell in.

As others have said, it depends on how you view your character and what you want out of the relationship. I’m surprised that others haven’t mentioned race though, because that can impact the romance. Playing an Elf? Playing a Qunari? It’s one of my favorite romances. For a dwarf, I’ve seen a few dwarven Inquisitors get turned off by Sera openly laughing at them for being short when they first meet, while many enjoy the “ex-con bad girl falls for sweet sheltered good girl” dynamic of Mistress Cadash and Josephine.

It really does depend on what you want. If you don’t romance Sera, at least get enough approval with her to do the Pride Cookies cutscene. Totally worth it. I’d go so far as to say that that one cutscene is worth the entire Josie romance in trade. I don’t know about that. Sitting on the couch with Josephine in front of a fire is a pretty cute scene.

But roof cookies are definitely one of the better companion moments in the game.
